NEW PROPOSAL FOR MOOR LANE RETIREMENT VILLAGE

Residents may have received a consultation pack and questionnaire on a proposal to build a retirement village on Green Belt land at the end of Moor Lane, Cranham.

An almost identical application to build a Retirement Village on the same site was refused last year as it did not demonstrate the very special circumstances required to build on Green Belt land.

No planning application has been received by the Council as yet, but when a proposal is submitted the Cranham Residents' Association will hold a public meeting to address the issue

Should residents have any questions relating to this issue please do not hesitate to contact any of your Residents' Association councillors

Cranham Residents' Association councillors believe that preservation of our green belt is of vital importance. Development on our green and open spaces changes the character of an area forever and is something to strive to protect for the community and for future generations.

Your Residents' Association councillors will keep the community informed on this proposal and pledge to protect our green and open spaces from inappropriate development.
